Data Deletion Instructions
Effective Date: October 23, 2026
MarkU (marku.in), operated by Saleeth Manjeri, uses the Instagram and Facebook messaging tools of Meta to reply automatically when you comment on our posts or send us a message. This page explains what we store and how you can ask us to delete it.
1. What data we keep
When you comment on our Instagram or Facebook posts, or message our accounts (@markuacademy, @saleethmanjeri and our Facebook Pages), our system stores only what is needed to reply:
- Your Instagram/Facebook user ID and username
- The text of the comment or message you sent, and the time it was sent
- The reply we sent you, and whether you clicked the link in it
We do not collect your password, your contacts or your private profile data, and we never sell or share this data with anyone for advertising.
2. How long we keep it
Comment, message and conversation records are deleted automatically after 30 days. Link-click records are deleted after 90 days. If you ask us, we delete them sooner.
3. How to request deletion
You can ask us to delete all data connected to your Instagram or Facebook account at any time:
- Send an email to [email protected] with the subject “Data Deletion Request”.
- Include your Instagram username or Facebook profile name.
- We will delete your data within 30 days and confirm by email.
You can also send a DM with the word “DELETE MY DATA” to @markuacademy on Instagram, or call/WhatsApp +91 92076 62883.
4. Remove our app’s access yourself
- Instagram: Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites → remove “MarkU Auto Reply”.
- Facebook: Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites → remove “MarkU Auto Reply”.
